Other fabrics have been given to me, many of them origination from personal collections of hand-made, heirloom textiles that accumulate in families. Pieces made from these fabrics, (which include embroidery done by relatives, scraps from the making of a wedding dress, antique handmade tablecloths, doilies, and lace) are very special, and I can create personalized items using them. I have made personalized items for anniversary, birthday and wedding gifts, the wedding gifts usually combine textiles from both the bride's and groom's families.
I have also created memorial pieces with textiles and clothing belonging to loved ones whom have passed on.
The fabrics are not harmed by my making process, however after many uses they will become dusty with the porcelain they are pressed into, this can be rinsed out with water. For information on getting personalized pottery please email me.
